Until recently I thought that I was going to be an author – and I am.

But lately, I’ve felt like I need to surrender my dreams and accept that things aren’t always going to go the way I plan, like:

Being part of The Young Writer Workshop.

Getting a job.

Or getting my learner’s permit.

And now my blogging and writing.

I feel like God is leading me in another direction and I’ve been fighting it, fighting it as much as I can until two months ago when I started writing a new story that I’ve been playing around with called A Brother’s Promise and I’m now making changes to my blog(s) and I am working on surrendering the want of control and doing things my way.

And I know I need to surrender, but it is can be hard.

Because if I don’t surrender I’ll lose. No matter what. I need to accept that I’m not in charge and that God has a plan even when I feel myself drifting from my own plans.

I need to surrender my plans and let Him be the one to guide me and not fight His will. Surrendering to His plans and will is hard but “With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27

What is something you have fought recently? Have you ever felt the need to surrender your plans?

  1. This is so true! When we accepted Christ to be our Lord and Savior, we’re giving Him our life. Now, He’s in control. Sometimes, we want to do things our way and make decisions on our own. But we have to remember that He knows what is best for us and He has a perfectly crafted plan for us. 💕
